Should I ask my rabbi to recommend a psychologist?

At the moment, I am looking for a psychologist, but I have never seen one before, so I have no idea how to find a good one. Should I ask my rabbi or teachers? I don't know who else to ask, and I would like my parents/friends not to be involved.
